Forsythe Vision Speakathon is not just a stage—it is a growth experience.

Our mission is to help speakers develop confidence, clarity,

and impact through intentional preparation, coaching, and practice.

This agreement outlines the expectations for speakers who choose to invest in themselves

and the Speakathon community.

Confidence is built through preparation and repetition.

A strong message is refined over time, not delivered once.

By joining the Speakathon, you are choosing progress over comfort

and development over performance alone.

Speaker Commitments

1. Invest in Yourself

As a Speakathon speaker, you agree to actively engage in the growth opportunities provided, including:

✔Participating in coaching sessions offered as part of the Speakathon experience

✔Preparing intentionally for your talk

✔Treating this opportunity as professional and developmental

Your investment of time, energy, and openness is essential to your growth.

2. Receive Feedback with Openness

Feedback is a gift and a cornerstone of our program. Speakers are expected to:

✔Receive constructive feedback from coaches, organizers, or peers

✔Approach feedback with curiosity rather than defensiveness

✔Reflect on how feedback can strengthen clarity, delivery, and impact

✔Feedback is never personal—it is always in service of your message and your growth.

3. Commit to Improvement

Speakathon speakers are encouraged—and often invited—to return to the stage.

By participating, you acknowledge that:

✔ Growth requires iteration and refinement

✔ You are willing to revise, strengthen, and evolve your talk

✔ Returning to the stage is a sign of leadership, courage, and commitment

✔Progress matters more than polish.

You can choose to speak ONCE but we recommend you commit

to a minimum of THREE consecutive speaking events

4. Honor the Community

The Speakathon is a shared experience. Speakers agree to:

✔Respect the time, effort, and energy of fellow speakers and organizers

✔Show up prepared, on time, and engaged to coaching sessions and speaking events

✔Contribute to a culture of encouragement, accountability, and excellence
